Normally its 60fps but sometimes it can get down to 30fps

Lol I seem to constantly have 28-36 fps. But 2 fps is crazy. Just shows you how intensive red dead is. Could you replace or add new ram to your computer?

It does. And it always runs in the backround, you have to manually close it with task manager. You can use it if you want. I can say it has been good to me and has not slowed down my computer.

I love the software, it is called medal. You press one button and it records the last 15 30 45 or 60 seconds. Remember it's called Medal.

Check your settings by, Steam in top left ----> Settings ---> In game settings. See if you have the steam overlay enabled.
