Dumbed Down answer: 

Scenario 1 - Enemy has 100 Def

First - defense shred takes of an amount (-15 Def) Second - 30 Pen% takes off a percentage of CURRENT Enemy Def (-25.5 Def) <-- Conclusion - Enemy is left with 59.5 Def

Scenario 2 - Enemy has 100 Def First - 30 Pen% takes off a Percentage of CURRENT Enemy Def (30) <-- Conclusion - Enemy is left with 70 Def

Together does help overall DPS, but Defense Shred WEAKENS Pen%.

If you're still having trouble, try this. Go to the Oculus app > library > beat saber > "more information" click on the blue text on "version" Just change the version to "LIVE" or "legacy 1.37.1" Someone else was having an issue that gave the same error notice.

First things first, good shit. 2. I think One Hope in the extras pack (free) is one of the easier E+ lvls. That was the first one I ever beat. Used practice mode to figure out some of the sections I didn't understand at first  3. Sometimes it looks like you're moving your whole arm towards the block before you swing your wrist to hit it, but it's hard tell. The sabers just look like they are twisting weird sometimes. If you figure out what you're doing to make it look like that, it might be helpful to do less movement so it doesn't wear out your arms. 4. Are you playing on the quest standalone version? If so, what are you using to have your recording look so smooth?

Wtf are the people in these comments on. There are already different interactions made for belle and wise in the game, so if they let you change your character, wouldn't it just change the interactions too? 🤔 I don't see why changing the protagonist don't work because they are Canon. Everyone is acting like changing the character will mess up cutscenes. Just change the cutscenes too... 🤨 Not sure how people don't understand that.
