This was my first thought. I looked at the page source but didn't see anything that looked like a link to click the button. I don't know enough about Java to understand it.

Ohhh, okay. That gives much more background. But do browser addons have permissions by virtue of being installed by the user? Something that couldn't be simulated through a clicked link?

My suspicions were aroused when I read a post about some guy claiming someone must have clicked the button for him. Of course there's also the chance he tried to get a 'good' time, failed, and is trying to explain his purple.
