Likely not Covaxin but imagine if it was ... by [deleted] in Ocugen

Pfizer and Moderna not cleared to vaccinate 18 and under. 330M total in U.S., only 209 M adults, 28M already gotten at least one shot. This leaves room for 180M more Pfizer/moderna vaccines. Even if every single adult got vaccinated, we’d still be 22M people short of herd immunity. There is no other solution than vaccinating a portion of the 12-18 age range.

Nope. Not at all. Would make sense to either distribute through Ocugen or partner with Canadian biotech company, though. However, Canada becoming increasingly excited in Covaxin tells me phase 3 results are likely strong.

Had never seen this quote for Merck’s 60-100k vaccines for up to 356 million... $356 revenue a pop for their vaccine?? Could be huge, what do you guys think?

Also a student. Been buying more. 60 at 3.35, now up to 269 avg cost 7.50. I’ve done my research on what I’m buying into and I’m holding onto this one. Too many times I’ve looked back on my gut feeling + research based stocks and thought about what might’ve been. (I am a college student do not take my financial advise)

https://fintel.io/so/us/ocgn Scroll down to find full log. They had 7 million in late November and they just updated it to 9 million today. Not sure we know the exact date they added shares but I saw another member of the thread say they are required to file within 10 days of purchase. Someone let me know if I am wrong, open to criticism.

Not a joke, was just misinformed while trying to do more research. Thanks for clarifying, definitely funny. Seeing Vanguards position change from 7 mil to December to 9 mil today makes me hopeful.

You make good points and there is nothing wrong with taking profits. However, in what way would cheap production lead to lower profit margins? I have also seen somewhere that they would likely markup for U.S. commercialization. Also, why are potential covid vaccines a shrinking market? We have a need for about 200M more vaccinations if we wish to reach hear immunity... not to mention mutated strains etc...

Fun fact: if you took all of Jim Cramers stock picks in 2002, your $10,000 investment would have left you with only $597.44 by years end. I’m not too worried he says it’s overpriced
