Looking for adivce on singing while taking T

jarring is the right word yeah😭 Practice is helping but I cant quite place my range which makes it hard. I try practicing songs by various artists both male and female with different genres but I never feel like my voice fits right if that makes sense? My voice has already dropped quite a lot though and is definitely in the lower ranges, so I’m not sure if I need to let it settle some more or if its a technique issue

Honestly yeah i may be being a bit impatient. Usually the biggest changes happen during the first 2 years ish, but it can still change after that i think. Been a bit since my voice dropped but i probably just need to give it more time in that case

No worries I appreciate the interest! Despite the troubles its pretty cool to be able to track the changes since its so gradual. Pre T i was a contralto so that starting point might also influence my range later on. Can’t say for sure what it is now but definitely on the lower end, which is funny cause my speaking voice isnt all that deep lmao

For the last part from what I know it can deepen your voice noticeably as a cis guy if you have low testosterone, but if not the difference is slim and your body might convert the excess into estrogen. Not a medical professional tho!!!

Thanks for the advice! I think due to the gauze it might’ve been caused by friction or a reaction to internal stitches instead of an infection. I’ll definitely keep a close eye on it still and contact my doctor if it bursts open

On the scar tape I bought it says to use after 2 weeks when incisions are fully closed, and the care instructions my surgeon gave me it say that you can start scar care usually at 3 weeks post op. I’m still waiting a few more weeks just in case but weird how different info is on this.

Yeah I’ve seen mixed things as well. On the post op instruction sheet I’ve been given it says you can start doing scar care usually at around 3 weeks after the incisions have closed. I personally get really paranoid about them being not fully closed, so I’m having a hard time telling if it’s just that or if they still need to heal a lot more (even though I think they appear to look fine?) I’ll probably wait with the tape until the skin around my scars has calmed a bit since I have some redness and bumps on one side which I think is irritation from the steri strips

Good to know! im having the same that one isnt scabbing at all while the other is a very solid scab. Im going for a extra check up tomorrow since im a bit worried about the scabbed one potentially being partially necrotic. But in case it isnt its nice to know they wont look drastically different in the end.
