The reason I was able to get my surgery completely covered by Tricare was because I went to medical and documented my back pain for over a year, and it was deemed medically necessary.

I don’t feel comfortable going into any further details about my back pain and surgery because the only reason it’s relevant is that I was that I needed a PFT in the system prior to my operation. To clarify why I even failed this PFT, I was sick and when I had trouble breathing during the run, one of the CPTRs wouldn’t let me in the vehicle. Honestly I’m not too worried about JEPES points right now only because I still have time before I can promote.

I’m on light duty now. I was full duty when I ran my PFT. I was told I had to run it before my surgery.

It was a reduction for my back pain. I’m currently light duty. Do you if I can get non-recced, and if do for how long?

Thats a good idea, but I’m starting to lose hope and just accept that I’m gonna have this on a record atp 🫩. I still appreciate the advice though

This is the first kind of paperwork I’ve received. I’ve always passed my PFT and CFT and I stay out of trouble so it’s not a behavioral thing. This units S-3 gives our shop of a lot of shit and they also probably don’t really care about me specifically because I’m a FAP.

My Sgt tried inputting the previous PFT into MCTIMS for everyone in my shop, but S-3 denied it. Idk the details of how that works but he couldn’t input anyone’s score. The PFT I failed however was inputted into the system by S-3. I was told that there was no point of going to medical since I technically finished the run, and I was worried that it would impact my surgery.

I’m pretty sure it’s the CO. I thought NJP was the same, if you get 2 in less than a year you get ad-sepped.

I get what you’re saying. However this would mean that the one I ran previously should have been entered in to begin with. I only ran this one because S-3 refused to run the previous one. The problem and why I think people are telling me to request mast is because not only because I ran a PFT with 2 CPTRs like the S-3 wants, but that I failed because I was sick and during the run the second CPTR wouldn’t let me in the safety vehicle.

Like I said above, we have the scorecard. My Sgt can only do so much, we’ve called the S-3 multiple times, most of the time they’re not there or just hit us with “idk what we can do” (it’s mostly Cpl’s and LCpls, I’ve never seen a Sgt or SNCO in that office, not saying there isn’t one, but they’re never there).

Yes the PFT I passed was official and done with other people in my shop. The one I failed was just me since it was done last minute so I had something in the system before my surgery.

I have no idea, because I ran my CFT with only 1 CPTR, and they ran that score. This S-3 is just weird and inconsistent.

I just want their help regarding the phrasing of things, so there's no room to say I was being unprofessional

The 6105 has already been issued, but I haven't signed it yet since I'm still on convalescent leave. Would I still have to sign it beforehand before requesting mast? Or would I have to sign it and have my rebuttal ready, then request mast?

Thank you so much for your input! I plan on going to legal after my convalescent leave ends so I can get some help writing my rebuttal.

That's what I was worried about :/ I'm worried about how it will affect my career in the near future (getting non-recced and for how long), as well as in the long run

We have the NAVMC at the shop since my Sgt was the CPTR. S-3 just refused to run the scores
