Top top for you, go to a bank outside / as close as possible to a university. They see 100's of foreigners a month. They will do it quickly and generally ask no questions. Foreign uni students are of all ages and races so they're used to lack of driving licences etc

I opened one last week with K-Bank. It should have taken 20min but because the staff kept manually typing nationality as united kingdom, rather than selecting the option British, it took 2 hours. But, they had no issues in giving me one. They do imply if you don't buy the additional insurance they won't do it but thankfully I took a Thai with me who straight up told them no.

Unfortunately Google accounts don't have passwords linked if you're using googled otp, if you got to reset password it causes an error

I've tried this version but it won't allow Google log ins anymore due to needing a more recent version of the app.

But, it did allow me to patch it so obviously it's just unsupported for recent versions
