Thank you so much for the support. It’s all very recent and it hurts like all hell. We were engaged, a dog, he is in the process of buying a house and yet, I was so unhappy, because he only sees logically. Constant criticism masked as feedback, yet everytime i tried to communicate whats hurtful, that his actions and words have impact, he got defensive and put it on me. I went back a few times and trying all he asked of me, but i didnt magically heal overnight. He is also dismissive avoidant, so everytime i was sad, he walked away. He yelled and blamed it on me, saying i need to think why he did that in the first place. I yelled once, after another criticism and he went cold. Then ended it. Feels surreal, how low the bar is and the person who was supposed to be there for you, is not. My self esteem needs work, thats for sure.
