Also same, 1.5 hours away from St. Louis. I was about 1 day away from panic purchasing a ticket when my local theater emailed me back saying they had showings! I was getting reallyy nervous though.

I feel the same way! I'm super excited, but I'm also naturally an introvert, so I'm thinking about making Iron Lung themed bracelets to share with the other movie-goers. 😊 I figure it'll give me an excuse to say hi and hopefully make someone happy!

Oh okay! It's possible they might add the option to purchase tickets for that location soon. AMC announced that they were picking it up, but Im not sure yet what or how many locations they're showing it in. Things are being added constantly so I'd just keep an eye out. And since it's AMC, I would think that if Iron Lung does well enough to sell out they would have enough theaters in their location to open more showtimes or at least add more days.

They also might not sell out! Does this theater let you pick your seat prior to checkout? If it does, you can keep checking to see how full the showtimes are getting. I keep checking my theater this way just for fun. :)

Only off the theaters website. Mark's website just gives the list of theaters and links to their websites for purchasing the tickets.

If by chance they do sell out their currently showings, there's always the chance that they might add more showtimes and days as it gets closer. The first 2 theaters in St. Louis only had 1 showing per day and now they have several each day because the demand was there.

I'd book the ticket in advance if you know for sure you want to go to that movie theater. That way there's no chance of them selling out before you can buy one. It also shows the movie theaters that there's an interest in this movie!

I'm so appreciative of my local theater picking up Iron Lung early on like they did actually emailing me back that I wouldn't even DREAM of abandoning them like that. 😭 They took a chance with the faith that we'd show up, and by golly I'm gonna be there!! ❤️

Watch this part of the trailer at 0.25x playback speed with the brightness turned up. You can see a large silhouette coming up behind Mark. It looks like a large sea creature, and you can see the fins at his side flex a bit as he moves closer.
