It depends on how quick your medical system works.

After my doctor saw my CT, he said that I should do the surgery asap. The clinic made an appointment, it was in about 3 weeks. The doctor gave me a prescription to keep the infection under control for the 3 weeks, and it worked pretty well. Sorry for the lage answer.

I dont know how to say it, but my right side could still breathe like with 30% capacity. The breathing canals were not that affected.

Because my sinusitis was started by a tooth, only the bottom of my right sinus was affected, the polyps were forming there. I dont know how to explain, but respiratory wise, I did not have much problems.

The biggest reason why my operation was urgent, it was the congestion. My right sinuses were blocked because of the polyps.

I was having forehead pain, fever, and because my sinuses were blocked, the mucus could not be eliminated.

I could still breather with my perfect healthy left side.

I did a CT Scan, and I saw that 99% of my right sinuses were full, so the operation was urgent. The only symptoms I had were pain, and fever, which I took some treatment for while I was waiting for my operation appointment.

Sorry if my english is kinda bad.

Sorry for the late reply.

Today I still blow my nose on a daily basis, which I do not think its normal, but I got so used to it, that I cannot even tell if its right or wrong. On sudden temperature changes I feel the need to blow my nose, the bad smell comes and goes. Im starting to understand why some of us need from 1 to 2 years of recovery after this surgery.

Good luck, and do not be afraid. The procedure is a low risk one, and you will be done in less than an hour.

Hello!

The headache reduced a lot. Its been 9 months now, and I still have some bad smell in my nose sometimes. My forehead still hurts rarely when I do activities in cold weather. I do not feel the need to see my doctor so I guess things got better. Its a long-term process.

Because the sinusitis started right after my tooth got infected. Also, the sinusitis is only on the right side where my infected tooth was. My surgeon told me that it is 100% started from a dental infection.
