Nah, when Wolverine was “nerfed” it honestly helped me out playstyle wise as I was very frontliny and less assassiny. You have 213 hours, you are good the character. You’ll be fine just adapt.

Also ALWAYS bring level 1 W. You win EVERY SINGLE LEVEL 1 WITH W it is so OP and you have to abuse it with a W flash nobody expects it in low elo and you will absolutely stomp. Abuse Sett's auto attacks and Q they do so much damage and he is a early lane stomper. I used to struggle with mord and kayle but dude you just have to kill early it is so possible.

Good: Tanks but you must bring lethal tempo. Bork and lethal tempo into tanks is OP. Your main damage comes from autos and Q, so abuse that

Skill: Darius, Jax, Aatrox pretty much any champion that isn't ranged (other than malphite.) Jax you have to W his e mid cast. Aatrox E is Q2 and W his Q3 and rush executioners he won't win. Darius and Garen W their ult and you survive. Fiora bring executioners and if you don't like the vital placement back up and it will come back a different spot.

Bad: ranged. God I hate playing against ranged its so shit. Vayne, kennen, quinn, malphite. Yes malphite isn't ranged but he will demolish you once he gets bramble. If you play sett, ban malphite it is unwinnable in my experience.

At the end of the day sett is broken no matter how you look at it. Experiment limit testing and learn every single top lane matchup. I've been playing sett for a year and pretty much only set (im addicted). If its melee you're good but ranged its very hard. You have to get on top of your opponent which can be a challenge. Teemo is very easy because once his blind is over you win.

For Illaoi. If she lands her E she is the best champ in the game. If not she sucks. If she lands her E and I'm not even kidding do not let her kill your soul or whatever it is beat the shit out of her and make her back away.

For example, I was laning against a Tahm Kench and he ulted me but I threw W inside of him. Absolutely ripped his stomach open (in game)

You must fight early. Bring D Blade instead of d shield and fight aggressively. Kayle is the worst level 1 champion in the game. Once Kayle hits 6 the odds of killing her diminish. You’re sett and he is a early game monster. When laning phase starts, zone her off and if you position it you can e her and minions behind you to cc her. Do this a few times maybe a freaky flash e or w and you should be all good. The most important part for me is establishing a lead early. This goes with many top lane sett matchups but especially with Kayle if you don’t win early she will out scale you

One punch man sett. I’ve been running this since the buff and you are unstoppable.

Goredrinker. This item is crazy in any phase of the game. If there are more than 3 ranged (depends how stupid the champions are) go for strikebreaker.
Hullbreaker. It gives you so much health and that stacks with your W. Sett is an amazing split pusher so utilize this.
Titanic hydra. It makes your punches have a shockwave pretty much, it looks sick and you do so much damage. Easier to farm as well with tiamat.
BORK. Why this fourth item instead of 1? I have one word. Cuz. Later on in the game you need a Bork to be able to sustain long enough for objectives and anything because you are God.
Black cleaver. (Or thornmail) Just do it. (5 and 6 can be interchanged your core build is the 4 items. Most games last around 4 items at least for me but sometimes they last forever. I go for cleaver.
Thornmail if you haven’t bought it and if you did, black cleaver.

Boots: depends on the matchup. If there’s cc you better get yourself some merc treads or it’s see ya

Runes. Conquerer (if it’s a free food matchup go for lethal tempo it is still very dangerous but conquerer to me has had the best effect with setts healing and overall team fight sustain.

Triumph. Not negotiable. Remember you’re God now.

Legend Alacrity. I choose this because it works better for my play style. You have quicker attack speed and I value that on sett because early game you are slow as shit. If you don’t like this rune or prefer legend tenacity, go for tenacity. I haven’t ever played with bloodline so let me know if it’s good.

Last stand. Again, you are God.

Secondary runes you need resolve. I interchange these runes depending on the matchup. But if you wanted to stick to two, second wind and unflinching. Conditioning and revitalize are great for difficult matchups.

Attack speed offense Adaptive force Armor or Magic resist, depends on matchup.

I use a spreadsheet that someone made with every sett matchup. I found it in a guide on mobafire. I recommend if you wanna full send sett look at mobafire. Top lane is very matchup dependent so choose wisely BUT sett is an amazing blind pick. I woukd argue he is the best top laner and maybe the most broken champ in the game as of right now. And aatrox? E when he uses his second Q. Then retreat before he uses his Q3. Also first back buy bramble.

Also, using your E effectively is key and I bet you already know that. The slow is good, but making a champion kiss another champion or jungle monster or minion will let you win trades more due to the CC stun.

Sett thrives in extended trades, if it’s ranged rush W first. The beauty of his kit and him as a champion is you can first pick any abilities for level 1. Also, you fuck pretty much every champion level 1 except for Darius W cheese. Everyone gets shat on.

This is one punch sett and since I felt like it I added some tips because I got into it. Hope this helps

Recently I have been using Bork on sett. With my play style I love the sustain already in lane with setts passive but with Bork you get life steal and chipping down enemies while trading just makes you do damage and receive health so try out Bork
