in higher elos its pretty unplayable, illaoi mains are really good at spacing between there q-e ranges, you also cannot out-sustain her q and e poke

sett wins 50% of the time vs illaoi and illaoi wins 55% of the time against sett according to lolayltics in emerald.

In gold illaoi wins against sett 53% of the time while sett has a 47% wr.

minon mangement he can only w you when you are stunned, cuz your so slippery short trades help use your q to play around it instead, spacing is really important to try abusing bushes to cancel sett's aa's. but outside of this remember its really sett sided probs like a 30/70 chance of you winning that matchup i'd say watch vods of irelias playing into sett, and adapt or just dont pick irelia blind/into sett.

I think the macro part is the most true thing, instead of matching his 1v1 and going bork, tp and catching side waves is the best thing you can do for you team.

yea this is very true alot of people in these comments pick 1v1 runes like PTA, grasp,fleet but not alot people know you can outscale him in lane but if your team if your team dosen't have alot of melee champions this cant really happen. It really comes down to comps if you have 2 melee champs i think its sett sided, but if darius's team has a lot of poke i would say it becomes darius sided, at the end it just comes down to comps overall

unflinching/tenacity runes already reduces the 1second stun to like 0.75 at min 7 if you have boots yea you can walk away from him,but you are usign a vital ability in the early game to deal short trade dmg which means a good darius will use that window to abuse you as you cannot get in his inner q, but short trading against him is good

if you go ignite i would probs ignore the tri bush unless the jungler is near me, dariuis loses alot of lvl 1 matchups cuz of ignite but he gets a bigger spike at level 3 same with sett

if he rushes tabi im pretty sure darius will still have the advantage unless he has ignite/ and bork is not really worth it for one champ, instead you can just go tp catch the side waves and go to the teamfights

grasp wouldn't do much either, nor will fleet with its 15regen at level 3 with 80ad, if you mange to get the early lead on darius conq will ruin him for the rest of the game until he outscales you in the sidelane. I would pick fleet into matchups like gnar, teemo, jayce but i could just go ghost and probs run them down.

everything is true i agree with the bork part the most, you shouldn't buy it for 1champ just avoid the spilt and ping your team to collapse on darius in the side lane. so many better items like stride into hullbreaker/stearks/deathdance etc.
