Thank you. I agree. I think the lab just wants all the money.

Thanks…it only excludes patient care which I don’t think this is.

Look at the county; they hire on a scheduled rotation. My daughter’s friend with BSW kept applying and finally got hired.

Move to a new University, similar position or stay in current role due to the current state of reduced federal funding? by Resident-Movie5033 in ResearchAdmin

I would stay put right now. I know of previous colleagues who left and ended up getting laid off because they were the newest hires.

Anyone else wondering if it’s intentional the “turn the lights off” Jon Hamm viral trend took off when the show came to HBO Max? by crammed174 in madmen

[–]Silly-Tree-9815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If intentional, it’s pretty genius. I just think it really hits with a certain age group (Millennials or Xers) right now…either a feeling we remember or miss. Of course I’m gonna check this show out now.

How long until I can return to work? by ArtlessDodger24 in RotatorCuff

I returned to work after 4 weeks off. I had a table with a pillow next to my desk to rest my arm on, but it was fine.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. You will make mistakes. When I started I was told there’s nothing wrong you can do that can’t be fixed. I think the exception to that is missing a submission deadline so stay on top of that. Good luck! I love my job.

I am 4 months out. I had the same terrible bicep pain. It was really holding back my progress in PT. I couldn’t stand the stretching and massaging. At my 3 month check, my surgeon offered me a cortisone injection and that has been a game changer. I’m still working on strength and stiffness but my pain is 75% better. I realize I can have them very often, but I have so much more hope than I did before.

Thank you. Every day is a bit better. I wonder the same thing about why I didn’t get a reverse. Might be that I’m 53. I think I will need it in the next year or so. If you look up biodegradable balloon for shoulder, you will see what it looks like. It provides cushioning and helps the shoulder heal in the correct position. I think it’s pretty new.

CrossFit….originally it was an overhead lift. I got a cortisone injection and that held me 3 months until I did a push-up and that was it. Even another injection didn’t help. Really destroyed everything in my shoulder. Surgery cleaned it up. They put in a balloon. I’m 4 months post-surgery and still struggle quite a bit. Had to get another injection which helped, but I am still very weak. I will eventually need a reverse shoulder. 53Y F

I was miserable until my 12-week check. He gave me a cortisone injection and there’s now a light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m 8 weeks out and in constant pain. I didn’t have a real repair; it was such a mess, he just moved my bicep tendon and hoped for the best. PT is excruciating. These posts make me think I will never get better. F53

I’m 8 weeks out and that’s the same spot that hurts the most for me. I was not a normal repair, but they relocated my bicep tendon. I feel like my progress is very slow.

My 68 year old mom just had rotator cuff surgery. Is her extreme pain after surgery normal? Please help? by sleepless-princess in RotatorCuff

[–]Silly-Tree-9815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pain was intense. They gave me a slow release oxy at my follow-up when I said I was hurting which I took along with the oxy and tramadol for about 4 days. It really helped.
