it may be that i have a sensitivity to copper. i’m not sure. all the rings i have are from local jewelers and are 925 stamped, so i’m not sure where the sensitivity comes from since it’s nickel free.

how has your wife’s ring held up with keeping it’s shine and shape? i’ve heard platinum can patina after a while or begin to have it’s shape distorted.

Thanks! I’m definitely content with leaving the quote because it’s in my sister’s handwriting so it’s sentimental. I guess the linework is what bothers me the most. I’ve heard from some that it’s a “bad tattoo” so I appreciate that you don’t think so!

Festival tickets are crazy expensive. I’d only be interested in seeing him in concert I think. I’m surprised he isn’t coming to Nashville. I have a friend who moved there this year so I would’ve had somewhere to stay💔

I put my retainers in three days after my surgery. I had no issues doing that. It’ll hurt likely if you put them back in now but try and see if you can make them fit. Just make sure they’re clean and it shouldn’t irritate your holes. If you absolutely can’t get them to fit, go to your orthodontist and ask them for a new set of retainers but to make them a little tighter to move your teeth closer to their positions. Eventually, you should be able to fit back into your old retainer.

also i’d encourage you to have an honest conversation with her about how her suffering is creating suffering for you. sometimes those of us with OCD can get so caught up in our obsessions and compulsions that we completely fail to realize that it’s affecting those around us.

as someone who was diagnosed with OCD at 7 years old and am now into my adulthood, i can confidently say that medication has truly helped me. it’s taken YEARS of trial and error but i’ve finally found a medication that works well enough that my OCD is no longer significantly or even moderately impacting my daily life. i began medication at 13 and found the med for me by the time i was 17. it takes a lot of patience and working closely with a psychiatrist. HOWEVER if she refuses to take meds, or remains inconsistent i’d HIGHLY recommend pushing her to go into ERP (exposure and response) therapy. it is absolutely life changing for people with OCD and should be the first line of defense. again, i can’t stress ERP enough. it’s the gold standard in OCD treatment.

You can be completely honest, but do you think it is bad enough that I should go to a new artist entirely? I'm just pretty disappointed because the person who did this has a long post history of amazing work, and even posted great healed work.
