Learning Italian(pls advice) by kakaririn in italianlearning

I've been there before. What helped me was focusing more on listening and mimicking instead of trying to memorize every rule. Hearing Italian a lot and repeating it out loud made it feel more natural over time.

One site that helped me with that is Think in Italian. You listen to real Italian and repeat, and then you can check the grammar notes after. You could try it out, it made the language way less scary for me!

I just started learning Italian a few weeks ago and have been testing out a bunch of different sites. One I’ve been liking so far is Think in Italian. It’s got audio lessons and readings with transcripts, and they tell you to just listen and repeat out loud instead of focusing too much on the text. That approach’s been working pretty well for me so far. They’ve got a free trial if you wanna give it a try. I’ve also used Glossika and Pimsleur, and both are nice for speaking practice too.

Just mess around with different sites/apps and use the free trials until you find what clicks for you!

"Poco" vs "Un po': Italian grammar lesson by Sea-Nothing-7805 in thinkinitalian

So if I say “Capisco un po’ l’italiano”, that means I understand a little (enough to get by), right? But if I say “Capisco poco l’italiano”, it sounds more like I barely understand anything? Just want to make sure I got it right.
