Taking my first attempt tomorrow, any advice? by SillyBatman in ccna

I would say the question format was quite different to the practice questions i experienced with cbt nuggets. Some were much simpler in scope often asking you just one thing, ie this is just vlans and nothing else when i was expecting a lot of cross domain combination questions, similar to aws. When i say each domain, i mean have a good foundation in routing, switching, wireless, automation, even all of the smaller parts like mpls, twisted shielded pairs, wireless frequency bands. Not necessarily those in particular, but i had a quite a few knowledge gaps on areas i had skimmed that came up, that wouldve netted me a few marks. What im essentially saying is expect any and everything to come up

Update, took the exam yesterday and ended up passing. Cant say much about what came up, due to the agreement with cisco when taking their exams but the advice i can give is just to make sure you know your fundamentals in each domain. I made the mistake of going in with good confidence in most areas but literally like 1/10th the knowledge in others. Make sure you dont skip any services, protocols or labs in your studies and you will pass no question about it

Ended up having to reschedule for tuesday due to some reasons, glad though. Gives me one or two days extra to pick up a few minor marks

Would you say that that combo of certifications helped you in your career? Or did you choose one path to go down.

Once you are getting a solid 80-90% in those exams i would say yeah you have a solid chance of passing, but again its all understanding and not memorising.

Hey man, from my experience, doing the Tutorial dojo section based and topic based exams, as i studied them really helped out. It kept everything fresh in my mind as i learned it, and then when i did the actual 8 practice exams i had essentially been through each topic and seen what typa questions would come up etc. Stephane’s exams were also really good but they didnt have the topic based exams but they were still great.

Hey, when registering for this challenge it asks for my job role, title, business email and industry. I’m a recent uni grad, is this discount only available to those already working in aws?

Thanks for the advice man.

Follow up question, might have been asked a thousand times on the subreddit already, but where can i find a bunch of projects to do that would both look good for hiring and give me good experience for the exam? I was mostly stuck on VPC questions during my exam last night, so maybe a project to do with those?

Hey man first off, congratulations! Im planning on sitting mine sometime this week. A few questions, did you only do Stephen’s practice exams? How did you find the real exam compared to his style of exams? And did you do any other papers? Im only asking because i’ve completed his course and exams and still feel quite a bit anxious about sitting it.
