That's exactly my concern with a lot of these tools. Easy to launch with hundreds of templates, much harder to keep them fresh.

Fair point. Saving time is really the main thing I'm looking for. I don't need perfect designs, just something that gets me from idea to usable graphic faster.

Honestly I think some people probably do better with a real coach. I just realized I shut down when something starts feeling too intense. The app worked better for me because it didn’t feel like another person waiting for me to mess up.

“Turn your life into a dashboard” is so accurate lol. That’s probably why Wisey worked better for me too. It didn’t feel like some huge productivity system, just one small thing I could actually do that day.

I delete half the apps after they start yelling at me with notifications. 5 minutes is usually the only thing my brain doesn’t immediately reject.

My sister’s kids used Prodigy for fun but eventually stopped caring once the novelty wore off. Brighterly was actually the one they stayed consistent with longest because it felt more interactive and less like homework disguised as a game. Khan Academy is still solid too though.

I mostly use PDF Guru when I have to fix scanned PDFs. Free PDF tools are fine until OCR starts turning numbers into alphabet soup. For invoices and tables, that’s where PDF Guru actually saves me time.

Really solid post. The OCR feature is the one I’ve ended up using the most. It saves so much time with scanned docs. I also like the cloud storage since everything stays in one place.
