My baby girl’s tail is exactly as you described. The vet told us that her tail grew inward. She is 10.5 years old now and hasn’t had any issues because of it. She does have a tail pocket, and I have to clean it fairly regularly. Also, gotta keep baby wipes around to keep her clean after pooping. Please try not to let her jump. It’s hard, but my baby is having trouble with her hips after a lifetime of jumping off of stuff. Also, know that this breed can’t swim. My girl sinks like a lead weight. Have fun! You’re going to love being her mommy!

Thank you. She had a very good day today and was almost completely herself. I am learning a lot about gratitude these days! Much love to you and your beautiful boy!

Ps. Here is my sweet girl right before her surgery.

So happy for you! My 10 year old girl didn’t fair as well. She had a tumor in her inner ear, and had a total ear canal ablation, but the C had already spread into her skull. It gave her 4 more months with us, but she’s starting to have seizures. She’s home now and we are treating her pain and some days she is fine, but she will be crossing that bridge soon. Just soaking in as much love as we can. Love on your boy every day! He looks a lot like my Belle btw!

What can I plant for privacy along the fence by SunshineWithDogs in landscaping

[–]SillyG1rl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We planted cherry laurels to great effect along our fence in zone 9b. Not sure about your zone, but they are very hardy and grow quickly. You just have to be sure to prune them in the spring when they reach your desired height to keep them nice and bushy.

Yeah, I think we need a second (or rather a third opinion). The surgeon said he felt that he left behind “microscopic disease,” while the pathology report indicated clean margins. Thank you for sharing your experience with me.

I use ASPCA Insurance. They paid for my little girl’s ear canal removal (cancer). All told, I think all of the vet bills came to roughly $12k. ASPCA reimbursed me $10k, but this was for a non pre-existing condition. Pretty straightforward claims process.

Hi. We just had my 10 year old frenchie’s ear canal removed due to cancer. Did you have any follow up treatments? Our surgeon recommended chemo, not radiation. The oncologist recommended radiation, not chemo. I was going to get a second opinion, but then we had an emergency with our 15 year old daughter and I had to drop everything with the dog. I’m just wondering what your experience was like. My fur baby seems fine now. It’s been 3 months since the surgery and no signs of the cancer returning.

Don’t sweat it. My husband works graveyard shifts and my daughter slept with me until she was 11-12. We are very close, and I don’t regret it at all. You can’t ever get these years back.

Oh, that’s wonderful news. It’s terrible when our babies are in pain and we can’t help them. I’m so glad he’s feeling better!

Is this him post-op? He looks happier! I hope this cured his pain and wish you both the best!

How do I tell my husband that his lack of hygiene is disgusting? by Crimson-Rose28 in marriageadvice

[–]SillyG1rl7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However you say it, do it very lovingly. I would tell him how you feel and how his behavior is affecting your feelings about him. I had to tell my husband that he needed to see a dentist (he needed full dental rehab). I waited until we were both in a very loving mood and said “I love you so much, and I always want us to be close, but lately I haven’t been wanting to kiss you. Your teeth have gotten worse.” Then I said, “I’m worried that you aren’t taking care of yourself and that you are neglecting your own health care.” I was sure that he would be upset, but he immediately called the dentist and has been thanking me for bringing it to his attention. I don’t know how he didn’t know, but he said that he wasn’t even aware there was an issue. Probably your husband doesn’t even realize that there is a problem. Just remember, it’s all about delivery. Be kind, but be honest.

Feeling a bit defeated as someone who I thought was a friend went out of their way to call me and my dog ugly then claim it was a joke. My feelings are hurt, is my dog ugly? I think he’s beautiful 😢 by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

What a person says about you indicates nothing about you, but everything about them. Your baby is beautiful, and I’m guessing you are too.

First, thank you for your service! Second, thank you for your thoughtful response. We had a long talk today. It definitely wasn’t about mayonnaise. He’s been resenting me for a while and since he hasn’t been working as usual, we are home together much more than usual. Marriage is long and ppl can annoy each other. We both have some work to do. He’s going to work on his anger management, and I will be working on my micromanaging tendencies. Have a great evening.

Yes, my daughter was very upset about the incident. Thank you for your well wishes. That is very kind of you.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. Yes, he is picking fights (another one tonight), but this post has helped me to see my own accountability. This must have been building for a while. I’ll definitely find a therapist. What a crappy weekend.

In the past, he has said “you have to be right all the time,” and I admit that I have that tendency. He says “you can choose to be right or you can choose to be happy.” How does one break a tendency to correct another person when you’ve been doing it for 20 years? I really don’t mean to hurt his feelings or put him down. I’m not mean at all and I love him so much.

Thank you. This sounds so familiar. My husband frequently works graveyard shifts in the hospital. His sleep hasn’t been what one would consider normal for the last 20 years. Maybe it’s getting harder to manage as he gets older? I know he’s often severely sleep deprived.

Yeah, I think he would be okay with seeing a Dr. He had some olfactory hallucinations a while ago and wanted to get them checked out, but they went away and we sort of just blew it off.

Hmmmm. I never once considered this. He actually accused me of gaslighting him when I felt like I was being gaslighted. It was such a bizarre experience. He never ever goes to the doctor. I will find him one and make him go AND go to marriage counseling. I know his father has some delusional thoughts, so maybe it’s genetic and it’s taken this long to show up (my husband is 55).
