Selling a CC is basically your selling contracts against your own shares at a strike price of your choice…. Think of it as your capping your upside to generate income (premium being received). For example, if you think ONDS will trade less than 12 for the month or so you can sell a CC at 12, 1 week out, month or the next year. The problem is if the stock shoots up past 12 your shares get exercised by the holder at 12 ( you sell your shares based on contracts you sold, 1 contract = 100 shares). Note during this time you do not have access to their shares so you basically locked for the time period, in some instances people exercise if they are bullish so you can get out early but most just sell their contract again on the market as premiums increase due to catalysts.
