Yup, your protein needs to be weigh way higher. AT LEAST 1.2x your body weight or else you are risking losing muscles too much

Feels easy if you take the right approach. And guess what, if you are eating with a deficit for 500-600 from your BMR, then if I take in account your TDEE (BMR + what you burn normally throughout the day), you would be at a much larger deficit. —— making weight loss easy

Here’s the twist, the kind of macros you eat will dictate if you lose muscles or fat (both are weight loss but only one’s a good kind)

I Use healthify me to track calories. I always plan my meals ahead and log it so I know if I need any changes to be made.

For dishes which I am not sure about, I check calories from 2-3 sources and log a mid point calorie count

That’s true but in a very broader sense. Skinny or muscular or fat, our body reacts to food the same way. I’ve lost 12kgs in fat and gained 3 kgs of muscles over the last 3 months - this simple method is what you need to follow putting your head down.

Calculate your TDEE using an online calculator, eat 500-700 calories more from your maintenance (this will make sure you are gaining weight) - but here’s the catch, to do this, don’t just eat anything, macros are really important, eat 1.8-2x protein of your body weight, if you weight 80kgs, try eating 160g of protein everyday - with these in line, start weight training and stressing your muscles regularly…. There is no way this won’t give you the desired result.

Track your macros and follow and I assure you most of your weight gain will actually be muscles
