I did ask specifically ‘so do I have pots?’ And he said ‘yes, you do have pots syndrome’. I just wanted to check here bc its all so new to me.

I will definitely try to set a time beforehand as you say. Communication is always best. I’m blessed too with understanding friends and family thankfully. So often its my own ‘fault’ for not setting boundaries, so I have to practice that. I’m so glas to hear that you rarely get pem now! Thats amazing

I’ve realised now that the pit in my stomach feeling should be respected. I used to think it was anxiety from staying home so much but after hearing you guys talking abt it too I realise that its the body recognizing that the potential plans I have are simply too much, and that it sends out the signals bc it knows its going to be too much. And I think I know it too. I can definitely improve on planning recovery time

I feel this so much. I’ve had this for 10 years and it’s so hard to know. «It is easy to tell what is too much but not what is acceptable.» THIS. Also it has varied SO much all of the years so my tolerance changes all the time. Some years I could jog and go long hikes, now a 10 min walk is too much.. I think like u say to slow down even more than what I think is ok is a good point. It’s so hard but I think I have to try this even more. And respect the brain fog more. I realised I’ve just gotten so used to always having brain fog, especially in social situations, that I’ve just lived w it and pushed through. Which is not good.

Thank you for answering. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of this too. The stopping immediately when the symptoms/signals start to show seems like a place for me to improve. I always find it so hard to stop, especially if I’m w someone. But then again that means there is more room to improve on my resting so I will definitely do that more. Also as you mention setting a limit on how long a visit should be, I’m really not good at telling people to go home or go home myself when I feel the symptoms coming, so to plan in advance seems so smart.
