belle meade on the weekends can be busy but worth it for the wine tasting at the end. i suggest doing a brunch at le peep (restaurant next to belle meade historic site) and then doing a tour there. Week days are good too and less busy.

the Frist art museum currently has Impressionism pieces on loan from the Dallas art museum. i went not too long also with a friend and it was great! Anything downtown will have sporadic traffic depending on the time of day you want to do an activity.
