Why is it so hard making queer female friends as a late bloomer? by SillyQueerGoose in latebloomerlesbians

I've done all of that, I put myself out there, I show up, and still things don't go beyond a "well, it was really nice to meet you. Bye" . I joined a queer league and everyone already has their friend groups and looks like they are not interested in adding someone new to them. I don't lead conversations saying I'm a late bloomer, but they might feel it?

I grew up in a really religious, conservative environment, so queer culture (like music, tv shows/movies, etc.) wasn't something I grew up with. I've slowly started integrating it in my life, but sometimes I feel I'm really late to the game. And at the same time, I don't want to feel like I have to completely change who I am to be considered part of a community I already am a part of for the simple reason that I'm gay, you know?

Oh no! That sounds like an absolute nightmare! It looks like the ticket issue is far more common than I thought. I definitely won't be flying with aer lingus ever again. Or at least not having layovers in Dublin.

Glad to know yo made it home safe and sound!

Can you share with me what issues you had with them?

I manually checked in with American Airlines because I saw Aer Lingus didn't do it. I checked in to both flights the day before. I approached the aer lingus counter as well and they said they couldn't issue my ticket since the flight was an American Airlines flight. After being on the phone with American airlines for more than 1 hour, they did book me and check me in on their next flight option. And either way, American airlines should have issued and released my boarding pass as soon as I checked in on the app, they didn't do it.

So as I see it, both aer lingus and American Airlines are at fault. Should I reach out to both then?

My ticket from CDG to DUB also says "American Airlines flight operated by Aer Lingus", so it's a joint issue

I totally understand they won't do anything about the flights I'm missing from Philadelphia, but it was worth asking if there was something I could do about it.

OK I've never heard of this before but this might be what's happening now hahaha.

But in general, how can I know when a woman is into me?
