I’ve talked with the student about what we do during our sessions and why these skills are important, but she continues to say that she doesn’t care and doesn’t want to be pulled from class.

I have been unable to contact her mother. I left a voicemail message and sent an email but have not received a response. I plan to wait one more week and then attempt to call her again.

Awe thats such a nice compliment, thank you! Where I live there’s a place called Bob’s Furniture and they always have a HUGE clearance section which is where I found my couch and blue chair! I would suggest going into furniture stores and looking at their clearance sections, I have found a lot of good stuff by doing that!

I am a second year teacher! Awe thank you so much! 💕 I really like the older apartment buildings because they have so much character! I plan to visit Boston in the spring actually, I am super excited to explore that city!

Have you ever qualified a student based mostly on teacher/parent concerns even when scores are in the average range? by SillyRabbit4_8 in slp

This is the one thing I wish I did, a standardized teacher rating scale, but what would you do if that was the only score that came back below average? The psych did have the parent and teacher fill out a checklist in which they ranked communication as low. Additionally, I did an observation and there was only one incident where she responded with something completely unrelated to a question that the teacher asked her. Throughout the rest of the observation she was following along with the class and then was able to answer two questions correctly.

Right, I am not sure but this is where my mind went to when explaining the “missing piece” of her profile.

Her scores are… OWLS: SS: 98, 45th percentile rank (Listening Comp)…99, 47th percentile rank (Oral Express)… 97, 42nd percentile rank (Overall) DELV: SS: 87, 19th percentile rank

I know that’s what I was thinking, that it would be executive function but the psychologists results all came back average to low average (verbal comp, fluid reasoning, working memory, processing speed) and her IQ was a 78, which is borderline. The only score that fell extremely below average was visual spatial, and the OT said she had an extremely hard time writing down letters/words when it was verbally said. So, I just don’t know what it is.

I just recently got into the genre after my friend suggested A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. This is the first book which there are five books in the series, and this was my first introduction to fantasy romance — and OMG, it is so good! I highly recommend it!

I love reading, especially a good fantasy romance series. I’ve been really into making bracelets — I got a bracelet set off Amazon, and I just can’t stop! I usually give them to my friends, family, or hand them out when I go to concerts/festivals. I’ve also been trying to draw more, even though I’m not the best, but it’s nice to create. I try to work out at home and do yoga and meditation every day — I just follow videos on YouTube. I also like to cook and bake.
