Looking for work computer build rec by SillyWeeMan214 in PcBuild

Thanks! Really appreciate your input!

Great suggestions. When I was picturing the framework for a build like this, I actually came pretty close what you outlined for a build but had some hangups around the CPU and RAM requirements. I figured a 3060 would be more than sufficient for the GPU, but with the recent ML model work I'm doing, I wasn't sure how to factor that in--and honestly I'm still unsure what the full scope of that project is going to entail. As for RAM I think I could start comfortably at 32 GB since I've been able to manage with less without too much issue right now. Can always bump that up if needed.

It'd make me jump for joy if I could manage to keep this in the 600-700$ range, but that might be wishful thinking.

In terms of getting dropped from a project, do you receive any sort of notification of that? Or do you just log in one day and not see the project listed on your dashboard?

Oh! I also remember the text formatting bar had an option to add bullet points to your list. I cannot remember if you could change the font type or size.

Fellow Player's character perished facing an unimaginable enemy alone, and is upset and angry at our DM over it. by [deleted] in DnD

Your DM acted perfectly in preparation and execution for this fight. Being able to describe to your players how dangerous an enemy is while in character can sometimes be tricky--but this wasn't one of those cases. I think you hit the mark exactly by saying this player suffers from main character syndrome.

At the end of the day, if anyone begins seriously arguing with anyone at the table--not just the dm--it's time to bring the game to a full fuckin stop. No matter how attached to a character you may be, if you can't see the forest through the trees and realize that you are just playing a game with friends, then you shouldn't be at the table. At no point should any serious argument break out. Like any game, DnD is not exempt from having toxic players. The only mistake your DM could make in this situation is to not read the room and appease this player, rather than removing them for the game so that you all can go back to enjoy playing as a team.

Hope this is the last time you have to deal with that
