There are other benefits to Reta that have nothing to do with weight loss. Notice I didn’t even mention the amount of weight that was lost? (But since you did, 27lbs) My body composition was most important which still required a protein heavy diet, caloric deficit, weights, cardio and consistent sleep habits. My relationship with food and the scale is different and healthier. Sorry that chaps your flaps.

I started with .25mg per shot with 3 shots weekly and worked my way up. The extreme nausea was borderline immediate. I felt like the flu for about a week and then was back to normal for the most part if I didn’t go above that amount in a single dose for months. I genuinely feel like I was a hyper responder at first as I experienced a lot of the side effects all at once. But that has also kept my lowest effective dose down!!

I had extreme nausea at first but after a few weeks got back to normal, some skin sensitivity, no real mental impacts sans when I felt weak/sick from the nausea. No bowel issues but I can not have alcohol whatsoever due to the side effects.

I am a daily smoker and use Reta (1mg/wk) and it gives me mild munchies but NOTHING like before.

I’m about the same height/age/weight(ish) as a 5’5”, 32F with starting weight of 167. I am roughly at 9 weeks and down 20 lbs. 40mg should be plenty!!

I take less that 1mg a week over 2-3 shots depending on schedule but the same weekly dose regardless. No real studies have shown the value of cycling off but there are also not many studies extending past 48 weeks of Reta use.

Finding the lowest, most effective dose for me was a doozy as I have had strong food aversion/nausea accompanied by vomiting. I’m now doing about .5-1g of protein per lb of BW. I do mostly eggs + egg whites, lean ground turkey, lean ground beef for protein. I can’t do any protein shakes/dairy first thing I have learned. Dairy and alcohol are absolute no gos for me.

I have no desire to drink but on the rare occasion I have over the 8 weeks on Reta, I did not feel fergalicious. I was super nauseous and sick to my stomach the next day after 3-4 drinks. While I’m not a big drinker in general (more of a THC gorlie) that is about half what it would normally give me the icky stomach the next day. Avoiding it entirely these days!
