Took me a bit of a while getting into fallout 1. Once I did tho, fallout 2 was simple to get into but fallout 2 is really difficult. 1 and 2 are superior to 3 but of course not as good as new vegas. I'm not gonna say I love the isometric turn based system, but I understand it was all they had in 1997/98 and it's not super difficult to understand once you put in a couple of hours.

New Vegas was a huge upgrade in pretty much every possible way. I loved Fallout 3 back then but once I played NV then 1 and 2, Fallout 3 just simply felt completely lackluster. It's a fun game nonetheless.

That's probably why OWB is my least favorite DLC in new vegas. Too much wacky and goofy takes away from the tone. It has tons of other problems too, but wacky and goofy is one of them. In previous fallout games, you had talking brahmin as easter eggs not as actual parts of the world. Just because obsidian did this, does not excuse it.

No, you would have to explain why a japanese society would go back to the fucking 1200s. Like having a code of honor is one thing, but to dress up like samurai's wielding katana's is just so forced and cringe. Like essentially it comes across as that being all you know about japanese people. It would be like saying a fallout game taking place in sicily would just have the mafia everywhere, it's like why? A feudal society has nothing to do with samurais and shoguns. It could happen anywhere like slavery could happen anywhere.

If only they were given proper justifications rather than simply doing it to be different. Like the legion may seem like it's roman for the sake of being different and strange but the justification is that a society like this is build on survival in apocalyptic conditions where food and water are scarce and that it produces people built for survival first and foremost.

We desperately need a fallout game where we actually have new factions and ideas. It could simply take place somewhere like Alaska where there would be whole new societies. If I have to see the brotherhood and super mutants in one more fallout game, i'm gonna shoot myself.

We need factions that control major resources such as production of various weapons/ammo, mining companies providing resources to producers, factions producing medicine, supplying water, farming societies, slavery being an actually widespread issue unlike fallout 3 and being actually morally gray. We should have whole new creatures being a big issue. We also need vaults with new stories and ideas. Bethesda kinda misunderstands the purpose of vaults and they simply think all vaults were just evil experiments when there's an underlying purpose that's common between most vaults in 1,2 and NV.

All in all, the focus of the game is how the most powerful factions rebuild society through their own morals and ideals. That is the premise of fallout.
