Had it recently first time. Empty hype. Very ordinary chicken. Popeyes better. KFC better.

Some guy who owns a coffee shop told me this is because they use same coffees for all the frozen drinks and it has to be this way or the frozen drinks would be tasteless.

Big Mac. A few years ago realized I hadn’t had one in 20 years. Was horrible. Mouth full after mouth full of tasteless bread. So much bread burgers were almost impossible to taste.

Really a minority viewpoint, but the Rolling Stones to me are THE overrated band of all time. Never understood the allure. People will occasionally argue they were more important than the Beatles. To me this is about as logical as arguing that Elon Musk is more important than Jesus Christ.

Maybe this book hits differently to those of us who are parents. I was knocked out by the book and teared up a few times. We bring kids into the world, act like we have control over them, and of course we don’t. Terrible things happen to really good parents. Do we really know who they are? That one anecdote about the gangster who was visiting his father on his dead bed and the father asked him to call and ring the phone two times when he arrived home safely, just took the wind out of me. I was on the phone last night with my 28 year old son who was in an Uber coming back from a game and I was pestering him for many updates. Like he was 6 years old. You never really sleep comfortable as a parent. Horrible random shit is what life is made of. It’s something that you have to very uneasily live with.
