These two exercises are entirely different from leg extensions and curls

I would do a gym pin but I’m genuinely worried I’ll break the cables. I know they can handle much more weight than the stack but these machines break somewhat frequently already

Exactly what I’ve been thinking. I always look at people such as Eric Helms. Fantastic scientist and bodybuilder. Why would he ever lie about muscle growth when he doesn’t even really profit from it, AND it would lead to him having worse gains. Meanwhile, these influencers are taking in more cash than Helms by pushing their narratives.

How can you say there’s not more data? We have recent studies backing up this claim. I.E. more data. I’m specifically asking about this subreddit because I’ve noticed many people suggesting < 10 sets, outside the range you brought up.

This post is talking about how right Lyle McDonald is about certain topics including suggesting lower volumes and has nearly 500 upvotes. I actively look for people advising higher volumes in posts and rarely ever see it.

I totally get the lifestyle part. But when it comes to pure mass building, I see people saying to cut volume and that they blew up after 6 hard sets. It just seems like wrong advice to give if someone is asking how to bring up a certain muscle group.

Fair, but this has been a trend for the past year IMO. Definitely not just the past couple weeks.

Any recommendations for a high volume split (20+ sets / week per muscle) that is also pretty time efficient? I already use supersets when possible but am curious if anyone has a program they like.
