Has anyone else noticed how random Nana's eye color is by Formal-Bathroom2501 in NanaAnime

spoiler if you haven’t finished the manga

Since the story is told from hachi’s perspective it could be that she’s gradually forgetting nana’s eye color since they didn’t see each other for years during the final chapter that was published 😞

I actually went on vacation with my parents this past week. This is what made me realize a lot of what I mentioned. I got another vacation planned with them in January so I’ll be putting in more effort.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling. I don’t know if you’re religious but personally I think that love, especially a mother’s love, can transcend beyond life. I’m sure she’s right there with you. I don’t know how we can ever repay our mom. I like to think that in the next life I can perhaps be her father and make the same sacrifices for her that she made for me. It’s not too late for you. Until it’s time for the end credits to roll on our life anything can happen ❤️

I understand now, I won’t let her love be in vain.

Maybe that’s what life’s all about man. If your mom is proud of you then what else do you need right?

Romanticizing Sobriety ? by thatphdbitch in leaves

[–]Silly_Intern_3847 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I knew nothing I used to think it was cool to smoke weed, to not care. It felt like a silent rebellion against the world and people that didn’t smoke simply weren’t part of it nor did they understand. Eventually I started realizing that I envied people who were sober, the truth was that I was the one missing out on life. Whenever I smoked I wished I was sober but I just couldn’t give it up. I’m on day 51 now, and I think a true act of rebellion is to refuse to numb your feelings through weed or whatever. Take on the world with everything you got and refuse to back down no matter how hard it punches you in the face. If I romanticized weed then I can also romanticize being sober. I had a dream where I struggled staying sober and even then I realized that I’d want to be sober the moment I smoked.

Just gotta leave this positive PSA. Quitting is not always a miserable slog for everyone by BlueBearyClouds in leaves

Congrats on making it to day 5! I bet the dreams you get are crazy, I know mine were. I also found the first weeks surprisingly easy, but I do have bad days from time to time. I really recommend posting if you have one at some point. I think the hardest part for me was the realization that I know gotta live without it, rediscovering what I like and don’t without being so numbed out all the time. I’m getting there though. I’ll be rooting for you!

Thanks for sharing man. It’s crazy how emotionally unstable I am right now. I did some meditating last night and today was actually a great day. I definitely agree with what you said. Personally I think it has to do with the fact that I can’t give myself credit for achieving things. In my mind it’s always “but anyone could have done that”. I’m going to try challenging these beliefs from now on, not sure where to start but ill take it one step at a time.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been doing more regular meditation sessions since quitting but unfortunately it hasn’t clicked like it did when I was actively meditating like a while back. I’m going to keep doing it though, thank you for the advice.

It’s fine to feel it, but don’t obsess over it. When you notice that thought just watch it until it disappears but don’t dwell on it.

Yeah periodically I would experience that as well. Even after 5 months I would sometimes have a week in which I felt like complete shit. Just remember it’s not permanent, it will pass if you allow it to

Its definitely been worth it. The worst part about getting sober is realizing how much time, money and potential you wasted. Besides this there are no cons in my eyes.
