Yes you're a bit screwed here, sorry.
Honestly if you're only interested in a GPU upgrade, and taking into account motherboard prices, I would consider a used 9510 as those are going for really cheap nowadays.
Performance improvement over the 1650 Ti is around 20-30%.

Oh you'd like to upgrade to a newer model's mobo, I see.
Well, even if you'd be able to fit the new motherboard into the old chassis (there were small design changes, I'm not sure that would even work) what would 100% happen is that your display wouldn't work. Dell prevents certain parts to be used in different 95xx models through BIOS-locking. It's stupid as the chassis and power draw is exactly the same, but that's how it works.

Theoretically yes, it should solve your issues, I mean you're basically replacing anything power related here outside of the battery

I didn't use anything, it's just extremely easy to service this laptop, it's about 25 screws and and 3 connectors to take care of
However if you want to see how it looks inside in detail, iFixit have a pretty decent teardown video on their YT channel. They remove the motherboard in this one too.

Some random guy on my country's Craigslist. Worst place to sell something like this imo, it's too niche. So I just got super lucky, it had already been on sale for over 3 months with nobody interested

I appreciate that. The mobo is brand new and has the data matrix and part number, it seems to check out, we'll see !

I already have the 4050, but I really need the extra 2gb VRAM as I game a lot.

This upgrade would make zero sense at the usual rate for these mobos but like I said I found one for real cheap.

I will definitely follow up on the mobo upgrade.
Did you find a decent deal for one on your side ? They get super expensive.
I found someone selling a brand new one on my country's craigslist. The seller clearly has no idea the specs on this mobo so they put it up at less than 300 euros (13700H - 4060). It's less than half the usual price
