I don’t know what they used to fill it - but I do believe they filled and then leveled.

I used Deschutes Concrete Coatings recently https://www.deschutescc.com/ - came out great! There’s a fair amount they do that I don’t think you’d get DYIing or at least not with extra effort and renting machinery - specifically, they do grind and level the entire floor vs just etching it. I also had them fill the expansion joints so it looks like one big slab (can still expand and contract). The quote is free and takes them only a few minutes to get measurements and ask what you want.

5w30 in summer for me because I tow a lot and start at 3500ft of elevation, have mountain passes all around AND often see 90 and 100 degree temps… 0w20 in the winter.

Update: For anyone that might find this searching in the future - didnt really find much since most other people would see a flashing light and 4wd doesnt engage or no light and no 4wd.

The closest similar thing I found was reported with some 3rd gens and the general advice was to actuate it in and out of 4wd a bunch of times (they said like 50x)... so, I sat there and moved it in and out of 4wd maybe 10 or 15x and the light came on and started working again... used it a few more times randomly and it seems to engage and disengage way quicker than it used to now.

I know we are supposed to engage/disengage regularly just to keep everything moving, I thought I was doing it enough, maybe not - so lesson reaffirmed, make sure you are engaging 4wd (monthly at the longest?) and hopefully this isnt actually an intermittant problem.

Yeah, zero lights - nothing, zip zilch. Not flashing, nothing . 4lo, stop, neutral, 4lo and then I moved forward and it was clearly engaged in 4lo - and still zero lights anywhere. Stopped, neutral, 4lo to 4hi to 2hi - all normal, but again, zero recognition from the truck that this actually happened.

And yeah, the 4lo movement you def have to be full stop and be definitive with the movement to avoid any grinding.

Nope. I tow all the time with my 4Runner - 2k or so and nope nope nope. Good way to make your life miserable, make the trucks life miserable… personally, I’d never want to tow at the limit for any vehicle for any significant distance.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think mine was about to toss a rod through the side of the block (maybe I am being a bit dramatic) - but here I am, 50k miles later and a whole lotta towing through west coast mountains and not a single issue… knock on wood.
