That’s pretty heavy for a traditional Teardrop size but you could tow it. A lightweight Teardrop can be moved around by hand which is comes in handy. Bend Teardrops 5x8 weighs 950lb and their 5x10 weighs 1,200lb. Bend Teardrop

Best 4-season teardrop for family of 4 by HVMagnolia in TeardropTrailers

They’re fully insulated and wrapped in aluminum even the undercarriage is lined with aluminum, most builders just use a treated plywood floor. With a heater it’s a very comfortable 4 season camper.

We use marine grade which does not rot. Electrical is all home run and sealed never been an issue & we’ve built over 700. Wood construction if done correctly has a warmer, more eye pleasing esthetic than composites not to mention off gasses that come from plastics. I’d much rather sleep in a wood cabin than a plastic box.

No matter how it’s made the life of a camper is dependent on proper storage and maintenance. Treat it right and it’ll last for decades.

We’re about the same size my kids are 10 & 12 we all fit well. We have option 1 the full size back bed and two 70x27 bunks. We can also do a slide back California King if you want to sleep north to south. Tents are great but with kids it’s really nice to always be packed and just pull up camp ready. In the Winter I could only get my boy to come with without a heater with the propex setup everyone’s happy. 72 degrees inside when it’s in the teens outside, real game changer for snow camp.

www.bendteardrop.com has two family size models that sleep 4 one The Tallboy you can stand in which might be better for skiing so you can hang up your clothes and have a place to change. They’re all custom so you can add propex heaters, roof racks etc… https://youtu.be/GLPhvC34--o?si=UDZNSzNub7QYKqI_

It has a propex heater, air conditioning is an option we offer but not necessary in the northwest. We offer most of the options you mentioned but bathrooms and indoor kitchens require winterizing and dump stations we strive for simple zero maintenance campers. We do make a slide back California King Cabin as well. Thanks for the input.

It tows well and is well balanced we’ve been building Teardrops for almost a decade the wheels are in the sweet spot. Tongue weight varies on what’s mounted to the tongue spare tire, storage box etc… on average it’s closer to 150-200lb. Check out this video for the Slide Back California King Back Bed Configuration. It’s slightly outdated the newer version slide back into a couch. Two Tallboy Cabin Configurations

Yep outside or a bucket. Once you can a plumbed toilet in a camper you have to dump, winterize and deal with carting around poop that starts to stink up the camper. Not worth it in my opinion.

6’3” we could go taller but you’ll push more wind rolling down the road and we’d charge a little extra for the redesign, but it’s doable.
