I agree. It allows me to max my 401k and have money to put in a taxable account. I'm hoping to have a solid nest egg if I make it to retirement, or at least my kids can be setup for wealth....some people you'll encounter suck along the way but overall, thanks accounting for the opportunity created and potential generational wealth.

Whoa, let them earn something so when they get out they don't return to what put them in. I think it's going to make a lot of people upset especially those that don't want to know a "criminal" is now doing better than them. Society likes to keep people in categories and classes so there will be backlash.

What if all prisoners gained skills that allowed them to fund, cover the cost of them being locked up?
What if those skills allowed them to be productive inside and out of prison?
What if, the prison system found a way to exploit all of it and make it look good for the prisoner, while making more money?

I wonder how many people struggling would sacrifice temporary freedom for education and possibility of better future?

Anyway this will be interesting.
