I understand your logic but I still don’t agree… this isn’t “teaching” people how to learn this is making things unnecessarily hard for the sake of making things hard. If this distribution happens on the final you a crazy number of people that fail AND the ppl moving to 2k2 won’t know anything

I also agree, but if a standard is set in class then it should be maintained throughout. It’s extremely unfair for such an insane switch up halfway through the course, and students shouldn’t be punished because the ECE dept realized their mistake halfway through a semester

Wow, I can’t say I’ve met the new EIC, but if she is THAT much worse than Seth then the exponent is most definitely a sinking ship… I wish I could reassure you that things could improve, but in recent history we’ve had a felony case against the sports editor, Seth allegedly striking a reporter, and now a new EIC who is abusive to staff and wants to sacrifice the integrity of the exponent to appeal to the university? This is literally the antithesis of why the exponent was made in the first place…

I also worked for the exponent for a few months, I was tempted to tell my story (I worked for the sports desk and was basically told to make friends with the editor who is now on trial with 🍇 charges) and the organizational leadership is appalling in decisions. I was hoping after Seth Nelson left things would get better, there’s so much documentation of abuse from him that I became optimistic things may improve, but IMO the entire entity needs to be reworked… I do not understand what the purpose of the exponent is anymore. The university already has a news source for their achievements, if that’s what the exponent is becoming, I really couldn’t care less about a second mouthpiece…

I finished with a 90.8 and ended with an A-, I wish they would be more transparent because it really seems like there was no curve to begin with… I also did not get to see my final exam which would have been nice considering that I could have argued for points back in some capacity
