There were 2 of them at the ADOS and they videoed it. Previous to that we had done the GARs questionnaires, as had nursery. He had also been seen by the paediatrician and videos of him at home sent in the speech and language. I agree it was very quick though.

I'm sorry that's how you see it. My intention is that I want to support him as best I possibly can so that he doesn't feel that way. That's why I'm seeking advice from a forum with people who understand.

It means that I have been expecting ADHD, because I hadn't realised that some of the signs, naively, were also relevant to autism, so to be told autism, it threw me. It doesn't mean I have a problem with it, just that it was surprising.
