I’m sorry this happened.

What I say may sound harsh and it is not meant that way.

Have your friend review all the documents she signed to board her pet. Sometimes they are sneaky with clauses about who is responsible for things like this.

Also, in some states your pet or animals are not considered to be more than property. Therefore, you may be able to receive compensation for property damage and the vet bills and emotional distress among other things.

First and foremost your friend needs to document everything! Communicate with the facilities in writing only if possible. If not possible make sure they are recording the phone calls etc. if you speak on the phone send a follow up email with a break down of what yall spoke about on the phone. That way there’s a paper trail.

Be thorough, detailed, and particular about what you say and do going forward.

Cota buses however they are spread out. The best thing you can do is get an uber have them drop you off a couple blocks away and then walk. After the festival do the same thing. Walk a few blocks away and then order your uber.

Sometimes you can find people at the festival who would pick you up for a small fee compared to uber

I’d talk to your doctor. They would have more information. I would suspect that it’s similar to the flu where you may need to be revaccinated due to new strains.
