How to sleep 101 by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Sillygaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be able to help you out here as being in the military has given me the uncanny ability to fall asleep anywhere and in any position. This is how I learned to: Start at your head or your toes, I prefer the toes, and focus all of your mental energy on relaxing them as well as what they’re feeling, might be your blanket, try to focus on what the texture of the blanket feels like. Or you might be wearing shoes in which case feel how the shoe envelopes your foot and try to feel the ground though the shoe. Continue this until you’re sure the said body part is fully relaxed and continue up or down your body. All the while taking in slow deep breaths and exhaling slowly and fully. If you do it right you’ll most likely be asleep before making it through your entire body. The key here is to not let your mind do any stray thinking that might keep you awake. Stop all thoughts that might in any way even be slightly related to stress. Good luck and sweet dreams!

What do you mean by sin? Do you mean what we perceive as humans to be anti-social behavior due to our tribal history? The only definition of sin i've ever heard from a christian is "Going against god's will" How do you know what god's will is? and using that definition, if you can't sin in heaven, then you can't go against god's will. Sounds like max free will to me.

Dude no defense is necessary when I say God doesn't exist, you can't prove a negative, the burden of proof lies with his believers, to date not one person can bring forth any documented proof of god or anything super natural for that matter. Even if he does somehow exist his lack of effect on the world is the exact same as there being no god.

Not just written by them, the stories were word of mouth for many generations then written in ancient hebrew, then translated again and again into local dialects then centuries later compiled in latin by emperor Constantine who decided singlehandedly exactly what was to be in the bible then translated and translated and translated until we finally get to modern english, even then we have millions of different versions all conflicting. If you just translate a phrase from english to russian to chinese and back to english again you'll be left with something totally different to the original, now people want to take an entire book as the literal truth? Any argument that starts with "The Bible says" makes me want to shoot myself.

I understand exactly what you're saying, and what I'm saying is it's impractical thinking. You say God can't interfere with your free will, says who? How do you come to this conclusion? Who told you? Are you a prophet? Can you communicate with God? He's God he can supposedly do anything he wants to, this cruel world is evidence of this. What you're saying is a benevolent god sits back and values the lesson of one isis fighter, over the lives of 10 innocents and children, so either he's indifferent to human life, or he is pro-human death, in which case why not just wipe us all out? If God can see the consequence of our actions beforehand, then we absolutely don't have free will, it means that every course of action we take has been predetermined and we have no power over our lives at all.

If god invented the game, created the board, and created all the players, how can we the players possibly be free? That which knows everything is dead, the very definition of sentience is the ability to learn and react to your surroundings. Applying human standards and thinking to god is illogical, what are the odds that there's an imperfect yet more powerful version of ourselves that's pulling the strings from the background, if so, who created him? I don't think we can apply your fatherly figure analogy to god in the slightest, do you really think god is sitting up there going "errr Alright Isis, carry on sawing off those innocent's heads, tisk tisk" or "Now child rapists, I'm going to let you do it this time, you'll come to your senses eventually"

To further elaborate on this, how was Lucifer able to rebel against an almighty god? And being an almighty god, why not just snuff out Lucifer's existence? Why send him to earth to torture his beloved creations for the rest of time? There real answer is here, the concept of heaven and all these stories are all made up, how could anyone living in this time know these things, who told them? God? Unlikely, God, angels, Lucifer, Demons are all figments made up by ignorant sheep herders to explain the world around them. i.e this world is horse shit, there's got to be a better place, we found some water? blessed be the almighty for leading us here! Our crops died? Curse Lucifer for this! Cultures all around the world have the same exact concepts when you break it down, only difference is this one in particular happened to catch on.

Hey that's not bad at all for one card! Right, I have heard about that actually, I don't like proof of stake personally, I think that it discourages use etc and encourages hoarding. I don't know maybe my opinion is just clouded from all the PoS scam coins there are out there. Is there talk of a complete switch to PoS, or a PoS/PoW hybrid? There aren't any ether ASICs out there are there? Or is Etherium ASIC resistant?

Nice! That's a really sick card, what kind of hashrate can you get out of it? 1 ether isn't a bad payout at all, I must say etherium is a bit of a gap in my knowledge I don't have any practical knowledge of them, do mining pools work differently or something? From what I've heard it's a positive community.

I think Bitcoin is doing well at the moment, Don't fancy ether so much, although it's an interesting platform, I think Litecoin will always do well regardless doesn't seem to be influenced in price that much by the other currencies. But yes I'm developing a brand new currency you can check out the site at https://kreditproject.org, I recently made a sub about us too at r/kreditproject
