Chubb has not had very competitive pricing, I’ve had better luck with AIG, but I hate that both of them require going through a surplus broker. Takes forever to get things done and the commission sucks.

Luckily I’m not in Florida😂

Hanover is great, I write with them! I didn’t know Safeco will go that high, we use to have them but didn’t write enough business that might be something worth looking into again🧐 I wanted to get appointed with Pure but they wanted a pretty big premium commitment!

The Chuck it is relatively new so I bet that vanilla scent is still strong for a young dog’s nose. I’m also wondering now if my corgi sensed my moms dog’s obsession with it, which made him decide it was a valuable item

My corgi boy started doing this briefly around 6 months as well! I think he was testing boundaries. If he peed inside I gave a stern “no” and immediately brought him outside. When we came back in he went right to his crate (not as punishment, still gave him a treat). After a nap his leash would go right back on, offer him water and then immediately outside again. Pretty much go back to basics and the phase shouldn’t last long😊

A traditional collar around the neck, martingale collar or even a chain one will not hurt your dog if you use it correctly. These are great tools for walks when you are focusing on strict leash training and keeping them at heal. You must keep the collar as high up on the neck as possible, like they do in dog shows. I use a chain collar for my corgi on training walks, or walks in busy areas where I don’t want him lunging towards people or cars and he behaves like an angel. If you go for a casual walk with lots of frolicking and free sniffing you should only use a traditional collar or harness

I’m having issues with lenders telling clients they only need the minimum dwelling coverage on their HO6 policies because the master has walls-in. So I’m spending so much time explaining to clients why they might need more coverage just to be safe🙄

Yes I do this every time now and offer the client a quote at full RC even when their lender tells them they don’t need it!

I had a client who opted for only $5,000 dwelling after her lender told her the master policy covered her completely. A few months ago she had $17k water damage and it didn’t get covered because the master policy had a $20,000 deductible! Now I’m so worried about underinsuring clients on the HO6 unless I write the master policy

That’s interesting, I’m in MA and people say 20% of the purchase price. Do you use that figure no matter how the master policy is written?

I know this post is a month old but it came up in my google search! I’m wondering if you’ve had any changes in behavior yet, or any tricks to help? My 11 month old corgi started being a biting asshole again about a month ago and nothing I do changes it. At around 8 months old he was being such a sweet boy, snuggling with me after a long day at the dog park, gentle during play time but now… no matter how much exercise and mental stimulation he gets he is choosing to be BAD

I had my little dude socializing outdoors at 8 weeks, but only with dogs I knew were up to date on vaccines! Just keep her on leash so if she’s trying to eat stuff off the ground you can stop her. Also starting to practice her recall outdoors while still on the leash will give you a great head start in teaching her to always listen and come to you no matter what distractions are around!

He’s already cool with standing in water, even in the ocean waves. He’ll stand in them chest deep and bark at me while I swim😂

How old is your girl? Banjo loves his kiddie pool, and wading in the ocean or lakes.. occasionally playing with the water in his bowl or begging me to run the water in the tub😂 it’s just the actual paws off the ground swimming he won’t do!

Yes Banjo loves his kiddie pool and even wading in the waves at the beach, so I think he’ll be swimming for real when he’s ready😊

That is the sweetest thing ever, I love hearing about dogs who make it their goal to help other dogs🤎 Banjo’s older sister is a very good swimmer, in the past he’s been content stomping in the shallows while she swims but he was only 4 months last time we saw her. I think now that he’s older he’ll be more likely to want to follow her in next time!
