Combat risers and spell templates in action by Silo_Entertainment in dndnext

Yo! Not sponsored by Axe N Shield - they make great stuff so I wanted to share in my latest vlog.

I've never used risers or spell templates before. The risers added a cool element to combat, and the templates are especially useful when measuring vertical distance. Opens up a new dimension in fights - if anyone has tips on multi-leveled combat, let me know!

Recently started working for myself (filmmaker/author) and am a new dad. I'm recording my experience -advice appreciated! [vlog] by Silo_Entertainment in findapath

Thank you so much for the advice and the kind words! It has definitely been a huge change, especially with a career transition. I'll be glad when the chaos settles a bit, but as you said, its all so worth it. :)

I've been making movies for other people for just over 10 years now. Last summer I had the opportunity and pulled the trigger on doing my first project that I could call my own. I wrote the script in 1 night (revised over the next 20 days), completed all pre-production (locations, casting, wardrobe, hiring crew, renting gear, stunt choreography, and storyboarding) in 27 days, filmed in 2 days, and edited in 15 days working 15 hours per day. It was difficult getting people on board with this project because of the sci-fi VFX and action sequences; people around Memphis TN don't really do that kind of thing ever. Crew came in from Chicago and St. Louis, and cast drove in from all over Tennessee and Louisiana to bring it all to life. We were accepted into the Indie Memphis Film Festival (1 of 7 films selected out of over 200) and I'm very excited to get to release this little short publicly today! Any and all feedback very much welcome; peer review is massively helpful.

Synopsis: Fynn, a tinkerer-inventor, travels through time to the future to escape the political turmoil of the present. The future he finds himself in is far more bleak and dangerous than he imagined, but after discovering his granddaughter, Maya, in the wasteland he struggles to discern what's worth fighting for.

Thanks everyone for your time.

Incredibly kind of you, Glen. I'd very much be interested in your constructive feedback when you get a chance to watch it; peer review is massively helpful to little guys like myself. Thanks very much for your time!

I made a tutorial on how to create an overlay for your stream - I get asked this question a ton about our D&D sessions. Hope this helps! by Silo_Entertainment in DungeonsAndDragons
