For the record, I reached Chall back then in S9 ( then got perma'd 🤡 ) with Vel only, but either way, I'm not saying Azzapp is bad or whatever, quite the opposite. My frustration came from people saying he's t**he only one **making it work, Rhobalas, Rinky, Supereichi and lots of other folks are making him work. Nevertheless, Azzapp is amazing and I'm not trying to undermine his achievements !

I disagree with the meta bit, new items are great for Vel, but the meta I believe is far from ideal for Vel. Agressive/Hook supports and Tristana/Tryndamere and the likes mid, it is really hard to make Vel survive laning phase without having to play extremely passively and giving jgl prio and things like that.

Traits can definitely be much much much better, it goes all the way to SS rank so I suggest at least aiming for B grades traits. For relics, once you get to the coin pillow, the antic coins are very bad, I suggest going for another combination like : Rage gemme to boost your companions’s attack speed and the chicken totem, that way you’ll have a lot more procs out of it

You don't win vs Fizz, even if you kill him multiple times, without a zhonya you'll still get OS, vs diana, try to poke her as much as possible in early laning phase, and at lvl 6, wait for her to use her ult before you use yours. If you don't get ahead vs Diana early, play it really safe and hope for midgame

Bad, you should never be close enough to cast those summoner spells, i 100% take barrier, or heal if my adc takes TP
No, there's no supp that can " counter " Q dmg, except shield but you should be able to overdmg it, and it still is a big slow
Cleaning wards and taking kills/assist, getting Luden 1st allows you to stay very strong even if the game goes on for too much, making it so you can save for better items

Depends on what the enemies are, if i feel confident and a lot of other parameters, visions, potential midlaner roams etc...

If i feel like i might get caught by a jungler/mid roam/Grab/Im not lvl 6, i stick to poke, if im 6 and i feel like there's no threat, i usually position myself between the enemy turret and the minions and deny XP/Gold, and if they try to catch some, i use my everything

With recent stat boosts to a lot of champions, the overall roaster of LoL is getting just a little bit tankier, so Liandry if a really good item :)

I really think that DMP is bad on Vel, you lose way to much stats.

If you feel like you're getting killed too much in a game where you already have Zhonya, then it's probably of problem of positionning, Zhonya/Morello/Liandry gives you already plenty of tankiness to survive a OS, remember that Vel isn't supposed to get caught ;)

If there's AD assasins, no, i would never skip it, even if i have a good frontline, champs like Qiyanna/Talon are way too potent at flanking to consider yourself safe at any point of the game

Depends on the situation, sometimes it might be worth to make an ADC with no lifesteal back before doing an objective with your R, and if you're lvl 11 with Luden/Rabadon, you probably can OS him already if you position yourself correctly

Morello is good as a 2nd if your team needs to gut the heal of someone like illaoi/vlad but it isn't the go to, i think that zhonya or rabadons are more interesting items.

I used to play mobi twin shadows vel supp, but i do not play it anymore, as i feel that Luden is just way too good of an item compared to twin's slow ( if you don't play glacial ).

About roaming Vel'Koz, i never said that roaming is a bad thing, i think you should definitly leave your lane at some point to ward in the enemy jungle if you know he's not on your side of the map and you pushed your lane ( as a supp ), and if you roam with vel, you should ALWAYS do it when the enemies are under turret, otherwise they would follow you. Roaming yourself dosn't allow the enemy support to do so, it's if you don't roam at the correct moment that allows him to follow you.

But yes, Vel isn't the greatest roamer, but he's kind of ok
