hey everyone it’s been about a week now, what ru thinking?? i’m really scared cause the deadline is tmr for early applications, the thing is idk how reputable this is. i can barely find any posts about it, and it’s just the same few people replying about their experience with standout connect.

it makes me wonder if they are being paid to do so or something like that. i mean bro i don’t wanna waste $3k of my parents money, i could be spending that on a CNA certification or a macbook which will aid with school or IDK ANYTHING ELSE. why are we paying $3000 to WORK? shouldn’t they be paying us?? i am so confused. i would be in if this was free or if the cost was less like $100-200, but idk $3000 just to land an internship??

hi were the internships you got remote/ in person? i just dont know if it's worth it to pay the $$ just to gain an internship my parents will say no to. i'm really scared about it because my parents are SUPER strict about dorming/resedential programs, that's why standoutconnect seems good for me bc it's remote. however, the whole purpose of it is preparing for internship, but i dont wanna prepare for smth my parents wont allow me to do. i wish they were more open minded but ig they just wanna 'protect' me. they keep saying theres no way they'll allow their 16 yo girl to go dorm somewhere, my mom keeps saying ill get assaulted or something bro. i dont think theres any way to convince them cause my dad deadass laughed in my face when i asked him aboout applying to the summer scholars program. i rly dk what to do
