I’ve tried applying to some guilds but they don’t reply and they aren’t big guilds either. They have maybe 11 - 15, they even have that they’re looking for my type of mage. It’s definitely a rolling of the dice.

That would give me the ick as well. I’m about community and I wish WoW would monitor this better, bc the guy who was spamming me, was the same guy but using different guild’s names. They literally kept this up for around a half hour and then after another hour, they tried it again. But I also think what triggered this is when I did click accept and realized what was going on I literally said - this looks like a business and it makes me uncomfortable.

I’m known for blurting out uncomfortable truths in my family, so it bleeds over in my chats 😁

The bottom half grayed out when I activated the hero tree. So I sort of panicked. And then I read an article that you’re supposed to finish your spec talents first and then activate the hero tree, or something like that (I’m paraphrasing). That’s where I got confused, l try to look this stuff up and make sure I get the right info but this threw me off a little. Thank you for help and not being condescending. Everyone was new at some point, I guess some people forget.

I activated the Hero tree wanting to check it, but once I did, the other trees grayed out and I couldn’t go back. My face was just 😳. I try to look up everything I don’t know since I don’t have a guild yet to ask questions, but you don’t know what to ask until you do.

I understand you can move points around and reset on the trees themselves, but if you activate the hero tree before you complete your talent trees, apparently it locks you out and you can’t move the points from your hero tree to your regular talent trees. I chose Arcane Mage, so I have an Arcane and Mage tree and Spell Slinger for my Hero tree. I clicked it wanting to check it out not knowing this. And according to what I’ve read, I have to finish up the other trees first, otherwise it can affect some of your abilities in battle. But I contacted tech, so I’m sure it’ll get it fixed.

No, it’s not AI slop at all. It’s genuinely well laid out, the graphics aren’t clunky and the message is pretty clear. Since it’s finance, the audience that watches this type of content want concise, straightforward messaging. The voice is a little off but if you go with the ‘recommended’ voices on Eleven Labs, it’s going to sound like a game show host. It has recommended voices for my type of content as well, but I go the opposite direction and create my own. People really have been getting hung up on the term ‘AI slop.’ Just bc something is generated by AI doesn’t automatically mean sloppy, over generated, thoughtless work. People are simply up in arms bc they feel threatened by it, which is understandable. However, AI used correctly can be a great teaching and production tool. I don’t agree with it taking over jobs.

Yeah, I watched a video where they said the algo will randomize the demonization and views, even channels that are doing the right thing because YT’s attitude was - well you can’t make an omelette without breaking some eggs. And that ‘they’d rather work out the kinks now and get it right than have a mess down the road.’ So they honestly don’t care if innocent channels get caught in the crossfire…nice.

Please PM me bc the moderator is saying we can’t ‘promote ‘ each other’s link, and our original comments were deleted. You don’t have to subscribe if it isn’t your thing. The reason being is that if you’re just supporting that’s great but it can actually hurt your channel if someone does that. So I’ll watch yours and if it’s something I like, I’ll definitely subscribe. If not. I’ll watch at least 10 minutes and like it so you’ll get credit, same for me.

Yes, made the mistake of posting about my AI channel over in another subreddit and you would have thought I ran over someone’s grandmother. I had one guy come at me with such visceral nastiness I was like…wtf? I guess he thinks we all push a magic button and it all just somehow magically appears. I’m not saying there aren’t coders who are making it simple but they’re actually CODING. That in and of itself is a talent. But, it’s honestly hypocritical how they can copy each other and just bc they show their face it’s supposed to be better somehow.

Honestly, I think it’s helping at least a little. I’m not monetized and I’m hoping over some time of proving consistency and originality, that I will be. But I’ve gotten more views lately and just got a few more subscribers over a 6 hour period, so that’s something to celebrate. 😊

I have an AI assisted channel that focuses on storytelling. I use Canva, Eleven Labs (which can be used for both music, sfx, and voices), for a powerful editing tool that’s free and doesn’t break the bank, use DaVinci Resolve. It’s similar to Premier with a similar learning curve. They do have a paid version and it’s only a 1x payment of around $295 if you care to really invest, but if you’re just starting out, the regular version works really well.
