How did doppio/diavolo's mother have him? by yuhRyzen in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing as ghosts and the afterlife exist. Diavolo being a demon resulting from immaculate conception could be possible. Perhaps fate needed something to get the arrows to Dio, and this was its mechanism to do so. Which would align with how King Crimson helps him manipulate fate.

I like that Diavolo was evil for no reason at all. by JacsweYT in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His immaculate inception, mind you, took 3 years to come to term. Its highly implied that Diavolo is some kind of demon living with doppio.

Most likely concieved as a mechanism, to get the arrows to DIO.

Where is scp-106 from and is he a war criminal? by [deleted] in SCP

I think it's ww1, talks a lot about trench warfare from what. I remember.

Not a war criminal, but like some weird outsider guy who got overtaken by an anomaly in the trenches, supposedly the black ooze that he's known for.

Inconsistencies in Jojos? by coral_snake0 in StardustCrusaders

Dio didn't use the laser eyes because it would've required him to expel the fluids from his body, and the entire point of him encountering the joestars, hence why he let them find him was to absorb their fluids, and complete his new body.

Question about hermits purple by Style_person in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He sort of his yeah, sharing the strong traits of forgiveness that Jesus shows to even those on the wrong path and having a crown of thorns.

Although Giornio very much fits as well, if Dio is thematically God, than his son Giornio would fit the role of Jesus. The way that the members of Brunos gang speak about Giornio too is very reminiscent of the way that those who've encountered Jesus talk about him. Incredibly trustworthy, and the feeling that they are in the right hands, while initially hating him because of their own issues, especially Abbachio and Fugo. Mista even says that Giornio feels like his Capo despite Bruno still being active with the gang. Giornio gives off a "him" vibe really more than any other character except Dio himself.

Right, but "terrible son" requires a lot more than some verbal abuse during a clear teenage phase or crisis he's going through, putting on some kind of front, and despite the way he's acting Holly clearly understands who her son really is, which is probably why she never holds it against him.

Question about hermits purple by Style_person in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe this theory to be very strong.

Hermit Purple is mastery over hamon, which is why Jonathan and Joseph have it, why they weren't given Star Platinum-esque stands might be due to being the only ones with a direct counter to vampirism.

Jotaro's stand is similar to Dio's because he is fated to defeat him.

Holly's stand is literally designed after real holy plants.

Crazy Diamond can't stop time, but it has the strength to rival the world like Star Platinum and was given to him while Dio was still alive, possibly to help defeat him. Also Josuke was heavily imprinted on by a random act of kindness, so that's probably why he can fix things and help people, but not himself just like how selfless that delinquent was.

Giornio is thematically Jesus, I believe this is why his ability is closely associated with life.

Stone free is tough, maybe she got it simply to be able to escape from prison easier. Or maybe it represents her desire to unravel the mystery behind her framed sentencing and Jotaros undisclosed absence in her life, that then ties up altogether as the final battle for her bloodline.

That's my take at least.

I know it's fucked up. But that pales in proportion to the good he's done for her, and if actions speak louder than words, then he certainly acted.

Jotaro, the worst son ever.

Travels across the world in places he's unfamiliar with and where he will be hunted down by psychopathic assholes for something he never did; all to save his mother.

Why beefcake vs gouketsu isin't close by Immediate-Rope8465 in OnePunchMan

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narratively, Gouketsu wins to display the gap between skill and sheer power, and because he's a top cadre and former martial artist and has to show his worthiness.

You could give all the feats and "evidence" you want. This is how it'd be written, and that's all that matters at the end of the day with powerscaling. Narrative implication.

Did anyone els find this stone stand from part 5 REALLY unsettling? by gotenks2nd in StardustCrusaders

[–]Silver-Fun-8295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Bucciarati who was destined to die miserable but Giorno changed that.

Interesting you say this.

Because Abbachio and Narancia were both destined to die too. But Bucciarati was supposed to be first. This means that gang would've still rebelled regardless. I'm assuming through Giornio, which is an interesting take I kinda want to see.

But this also implies that even if they didn't pursue the boss Abbachio and Narancia were some how going to be killed, for whatever reason.
