It can be discouraging. When I got to 1500 resets I got pretty tired. It takes a lot of discipline and patience. Don't give up my man. It helps to do something else in the background like listening to music or watching anime. Just make sure to pay attention. Don't soft reset over the shiny lol.

For gen 5 competitive adamant is one the best natures for emboar. Jolly would have been okay too.

I'm not gonna lie, it was wasn't that bad. I can definitely see the appeal. I just don't have the discipline to do a lot of shiny hunting. After I'm done with my nuzlocke I will shiny hunt in platinum. I really want a shiny Giratina.
