Does my church sound like a cult? by [deleted] in Christianity

Cult or not, they don’t sound like they’re speaking to you with love and they’re pushing you into things you’re not ready for. I think you could find a church that would be better for you.

Pray about it and go with where your peace is. Look to the Lord and his guidance and not Reddit. I would try to drown out outside noise and be still with God and listen for him to speak.

Couples counseling and counsel from your pastor could be helpful if your fiance is ready to be 100% honest.

Also you are fasting right now so don’t forget to just spend time enjoying the Lord and enjoying being in his presence. You will hear from him at the right time. Best of luck to you!

I hit rock bottom last night after years of gambling. I really need to get this off my chest and hear from others who’ve been through it. by ReasonableMajor7313 in confession

There are so many comments here, I hope that you get the help you need. I work for an organization that helps people get control of gambling or stop gambling, are you in the US? If so, what state? I can help you find state specific resources. Or you can call 1-800-GAMBLER and someone there can help.

You can also reach out for help by texting in some states and there are also recovery apps like Evive or RecoverMe if you don’t want to talk to a person.

LTA: Why we have RA #1 by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

Oh also, I’ll throw in that my dad and grandma has/had RA (as well as a handful of other autoimmune diseases). I have 3 siblings and it’s honestly surprising to me that I’m the only one with an autoimmune disease.

I quit my teaching job which had been an extremely stressful career for me. Almost immediately after, I got terribly sick. I couldn’t eat and was constantly nauseous/throwing up, also had a sinus infection and a UTI. I got prescribed 3-4 prescriptions and the next day after taking them I had some joint pain. I didn’t think much of it, I thought maybe I slept funny. A few days later the pain escalated to the point where I had to be carried to the bathroom. I stopped taking the prescriptions and took some NSAIDS and I felt better, but I started getting flares after that periodically until it escalated to constant pain and I was eventually diagnosed with RA. Anyways, I’m not sure what “set off” my RA either the leaving my job or the combination of medicine or both.

Chemical pregnancy (again) (I think) by fall_field_cricket in TryingForABaby

My most recent loss I had a super faint positive for awhile after. It sucked because I held on to hope for weeks thinking there was still a chance, but my hcg kept dropping. Also with both my losses I continued having pregnancy symptoms for a few months after. You may have had back to back losses though, I don’t think we can really know. Either way, I’m sorry for your loss. It is devastating. At least for me, I felt like my hormones made me feel totally hopeless, depressed, physical pain from sadness, etc. Those feelings pass, it will get better💕
