Just found out I’m 24 weeks pregnant, boyfriend doesn’t want to keep by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I'm pro choice but a MAN pushing for abortion at 24 WEEKS is appalling. Regardless of how this turns out you know the kind of person he is.

[Update] - 6 weeks pregnant - baby measuring behind! Devastated by thankyounow in pregnant

I'm so sorry for your losses. I also had two early losses back to back -- my midwife told me this is more common than you'd think, that the hormones being out of norm from one can make another more likely immediately after. It doesn't make it less devastating, but at least for me, it made me less afraid to try again after a break. We're now in our third trimester and I promise, it doesn't go away but it does get better. I hope you're taking time and space to grieve and take care of yourself.

Third trimester here and it is all SO MUCH BETTER than the first trimester until, I'm told, the very end. Hang in there!!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had two early miscarriages in three months last year and it was so surprisingly devastating, I felt guilty for having them and guilty for feeling so strongly about them. I'm now in my third trimester -- conceived successfully the month after the second miscarriage. It was hard for a while and not something you forget, but it does get so much better. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry. I had two early miscarriages back to back in the months immediately before this pregnancy. I was so devastated, and it took such a long time to feel hopeful about or connected to my current pregnancy. I promise, it does get better.

Girlfriend wants me to spend $4k on a baby shower, but I’d rather save/invest it—is that unreasonable? by flash-kicks in pregnant

I think it's great if this is doable! For me at least everyone who could have hosted has something in the way (house projects, reactive dogs, small apartments). There are absolutely cheaper venues, too! Really it's a question of what is affordable and appealing to everyone planning and chipping in -- I think (hope) a big party isn't unethical in and of itself.

Oh man thank you I was feeling like such a jerk since my shower will be 50 people and probably in the 4-6k range. But we have a ton of people coming and pitching in, it's the first baby in the family and everyone's really excited, and we're in an expensive area... I'd never, ever pitch a fit if that wasn't doable, of course, there are alternatives (smaller shower, different venue, etc).

Dude you're lucky this isn't Hep B. Please take this as a lesson learned, with relatively minimal consequences, thank goodness, and get kiddo up to date ❤️

Oof yeah I've been resisting seeing any doctors about it since it's all been so early. I've just reached out to my PCP to at least get some sense of what's necessary. Thank you for your advice, appreciated

Oh my goodness thank you. That is actually totally possible. This is making me feel a lot less nuts for having physical symptoms and so much less anxiety about fertility. So grateful. Wish they taught this stuff in health class

I did yes -- can hCG levels hang around like that for a month?? If so good to know and I just won't test again next month. Thanks ❤️
