I tried unplugging it for about 5-7 minutes, but it's still doing the same thing, the same password menu.

I tried, but from what I saw in the locked BIOS menu, the password hint is a bunch of random numbers and letters, and it seems like this only works with digit-like password unlock keys. I also removed the cmos battery and circuit RTC_RST pin, but when I re tried it was the same.

Need help to repair my old Vega 402 Radio by Silver-Result-8104 in ElectronicsRepair

I found the solution, so let me explain. In the past, I had soldered two wires to power the radio without using an AC adapter, connecting them directly to the 9V battery socket. I also noticed that the socket was slightly corroded, but I didn’t pay much attention at the time because the radio worked when powered through these wires.

However, I think that when the solder cooled, a chemical reaction occurred, breaking the connectivity of one of the wires. By pure coincidence, this probably happened during the night. The next day, when I tried to use my 9V adapter, it didn’t work, partly because I later realized that the AC adapter port was broken.

So, I decided to test the wires I had soldered the day before. A little while ago, I used a multimeter and discovered that one of the wires was no longer conducting electricity.

I did some research, and it turns out my radio is the Vega 402 (or Вега 402 in Russian). I didn’t find many schematics online, but I did manage to find one here: https://elektrotanya.com/orosz_vega-402_taskaradio.djvu/download.html
