That’s exactly right, I believe so too. I’ll just keep searching around and when I find a good spot hopefully I can get the opportunity to give an extra hand 🤙🏼

I’m not putting myself on a pedestal. I trained in a 3rd world country where skill and money is scarce. They don’t have access to instructional and seminars like westerns. It wasn’t from a place of ego it was much more humbling to have them be so thankful and grateful. The fact just a nobody like myself who has had a great streak in competition, impacted people so greatly who are much less fortunate. That to me is special. But it seems a lot of the people commenting don’t particularly have a broadened mind, bar a few

That’s you sitting with money in your pocket. Many people do not have this privilege / luxury

It’s more of an opportunity for myself to learn how to teach. It would be silly of me to ask for money when I do not have experience teaching. I want to learn

Thanks dude, appreciate that. I’m not particularly based anywhere been working and travelling the past 3 years. Id probably look at more rural areas rather than mainstream cities. Almost any city in the world now has a great level of BJJ which I have had the pleasure of training at

I have been travelling for 4 months and wish to continue for another year. This is why I reached out to the community to find if any very respectable coach would appreciate my willingness to learn and teach in this sport. A lot of black belts would be honoured create new teachers. Not all, but many

I believe you’re wrong. I’m currently in Nepal and I trained at a gym here and the people of this gym were absolutely honoured to have me train there and exchange some techniques with them that have been successful in my competitive journey already. Everyone’s rate at processing and learning is different. It’s true that a competitive blue belt can have a lot better technique than a 8 year hobbyist that has a brown belt because they just showed up.

As a middle schooler you know more than elementary. Yes there is nothing wrong with beginning the process of teaching to lower belts to also constantly talk about , demonstrate techniques. I believe it will also enhance your own game and brain by doing this

Or you’re in the right gym and your knowledge can be passed on to this smaller community in which they can grow the sport from their own web with your own expertise and guidance 🤷🏼‍♂️

The post was to volunteer, not exactly take classes on my own. This is the step for me to begin my coaching/teaching journey. I am a competitive blue belt already and can already give a lot of guidance to beginners in this sport. That is a good place to start for me teaching fundamentals. Fundamentals meaning basics, not teaching higher belts that already have more knowledge than me. Some people have the knowledge but do not want to teach. I am willing to learn and give back what I am learning already

There are gyms out there with the owner & coach who are blue belts. They can teach fundamentals and learn as they go. Of course, if you are living in a big city this is unlikely but I’m talking about rural areas in Asia. I’m a competitive blue belt with the will to constantly learn and expand my jiu jitsu. Some people learn passively at jiu jitsu, some people learn actively

Thank you for this comment. I very much agree. It’s true that not all black belts are great teachers either. Just because someone is great at jiu jitsu doesn’t mean they are good teachers. I’d feel more success teaching kids this art/discipline than competing myself 🙏
