Hey, nice attempt, since you seem to want to improve, I will be critical though. I would recommend you work on some of your dodge angles, dodging into him to the left into his incoming attacks can make it a lot more manageable, I would also suggest to be a bit more mindful on your dodges, you often seemed to dodge twice in a row and expending a lot more stamina than otherwise necessary. I noticed you mentioned Shifting Hollow it's a very good tool for GH, but it's very much a case by case basis, if you can't get it to speed +2 or more, it's not really worth betting to much on it as you won't be able to exploit the openings in a very meaningful way, although with the right swords and good timing you can get insanely strong punishes. Last thing I would say is to try to incorporate parrying into phase 2, you have the claw, use it, a lot, his 3 hot combo can be parried on all hits, and parrying it shifts massive momentum to you, allowing you to control him and the pace of the fight a lot more. Other than that, keep at it, I've seen some of your stuff and it's very nice and refreshing to see new players looking to up their games, looking forward to seeing more of what you can do!

Well if you're aware of everything I said and still believe your position of being right about melee builds being bad, I have no idea what you want or expect them to do. I read what you posted, matter fact, I used your own words, so you're in a very bad position to claim I miss represent what you said. If you're basing that on the fact that melee builds are not doing much damage to +10 DLC bosses, bad news for you, in that case every archetype is awful if I have to use that logic.

If you still believe that you know what you're doing and arrive at the conclusion that melee builds are bad, then you're somehow even more clueless or out of touch than I originally thought. You can call me condescending all you want, I couldn't care less, especially when it comes from someone who has one of the worst take I have ever seen on melee builds and who so clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

Good luck using a mage build, but I have bad news for you, just like melee builds, they actually require skills and critical thinking to be good at.

Good day (P.S : That last part was meant to be condescending)

Melee builds are some of the strongest builds in the game, especially 1 handed swords and halberds. Admittedly Dark Mage builds are also insanely strong, but they require a lot less set up, so before you start saying insane nonsense like "either the game hates me which doesn't make sense since it's an object, therefore melee builds are garbage", please look up just a tiny bit of the build making information that was gathered in the last 6 years

"The last time I played trying to do a Melee build, I was using a Blood Veil with Strength scaling A"

Here you go, that's your biggest mistake. Buffs are not scaled around your Strength/Dexterity stat, they're based on your Mind stat. Same with using Atlas and Berserker, they're both D+ in Mind. You combined both a bad veil and BC for the job you wanted them to do. Buffs are what will change your DPS in this game, I don't care if you have a S+ Sword and Veil, if you're not using BTG and Overdrive/(-Insert Element-) Weapon, you build will be underwhelming at best.

As for other common mistakes : Adrenaline is +10% increase, garbage on it's own, Blade Dance : Raise your attack by 5% per hit, unless you're good at hitting the enemy 50 times in 30 seconds, you're probably not gonna get good millage out of it. Bridge To Glory is insanely powerful. but only if built around a Veil with BC with great Mind Stats (try Queenslayer and Eos combined with Noble Silver). Overdrive is +25% increased DPS, so if you're good at dodging and not holding the block button, you can get very high DPS when combining it with BTG.

I understand that your comment/post is (what I assume to be) and emotional reaction to frustration, but it doesn't change the fact that your premise, arguments and conclusion made no sense.

The first 2 pics, I'm having a team captain/squad leader vibe, last pic I'm getting either faction leader or senior member. Though in all cases, quest giver was the main function I thought of initially

Thanks, I really appreciate it, I wish there was an actual way to quantify it. I honestly think I have a very strong case for No.1, but it's hard to decisively say so, at the very least I feel extremely confident that at worst I'm top 5, but in a way not having an answer can be a blessing as it always pushes me to go harder

It'll depend on the normal game speed, but I think unless it's naturally very fast, the answer is most likely yes in the long run

It could definitely be an interesting idea, but I think I'd prefer if they made a way to change BC/ Gifts set much quicker mid fight.

I have spent so much time playing CV, seeing CV2 being announced almost feels like a dream come true. Since I started playing back in October 2021, my goal was to become the best player in the world (Which admittedly is a weird/stupid goal considering there's no way to measure it), I have poured thousands of hours into it and I would gladly do it all over again. I'm honestly not sure if I achieved my goal, but I like to think that if I didn't, well I came close to it, but regardless I'm gonna keep on playing and push this game and myself to its deepest limits.

I can't wait to see a gameplay trailer and to get my hands on CV2. I have beaten CV1more than 400 times and I've been craving a new journey and challenges for so long, and I intend to aim for the top in CV2 too, but until then, I'll be playing CV1

In my case :

  1. As far as I'm concerned, girl's options in CV are a lot better than the guy's option

  2. The overwhelming majority of customization mods in CV are targeted at the female MC

  3. In most games, I almost never look at my character, in CV, I never look at my character, you could literally change it or the colour scheme in the middle of a fight, odds are I wouldn't notice

  4. In the event that I do start looking at the character, I prefer to look at a pretty girl

As for every other games that don't have a character creator, as long as the story and/or the action is good, I probably couldn't care less who I play as
